As 2022 comes to a close, I wanted to take a minute to reflect on this amazing journey and thank everyone involved. It’s been 15 months since launching the Fintech Leaders Podcast in October 2021, and the result has surpassed all possible expectations.

I’m also excited for 2023 and to continue bringing you a weekly dose of knowledge, inspiration, and motivation. Some of my goals for this year include:

  • Strengthen Emphasis on International Guests. Some of the most innovative fintech companies are being built outside the US and there’s plenty to learn from them. 1/3 of our past guests lead companies outside the US - I’m hoping to bring that ratio closer to 50/50, with increased representation from Africa and Asia.

  • More Founders, Less Investors. I love my fellow VCs, but I’m always inspired by the contagious energy and unbelievable story of every fintech founder. 70% of past guests have been founders and company leaders - the goal for 2023 is to bring it closer to 85%.

  • Beef Up Written Version. Audience feedback indicates you enjoy having a short, written summary of each episode. I will continue providing this summary, but with almost 50 thousand newsletter subscribers, there’s room (and appetite) to increase written insights on each post.

  • More Lessons Learned. We can draw fascinating insights and common themes across episodes, with different points of view from each guest. Keep an eye out next week for a special show on corporate board management. Hopefully, we can produce one of those each quarter.

  • More value for the audience. Starting today, I’m excited to launch the Fintech Leaders Job Board. Whether you’re looking for a job or just exploring, this might be for you. Details below!
